Job Description
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an AEM Developer based in the United States.
The AEM Developer will design, develop, and enhance enterprise digital experiences using Adobe Experience Manager technologies.
This role focuses on building scalable content platforms, reusable components, integrations, and modern digital solutions that support engaging customer experiences.
The ideal candidate will bring strong AEM expertise, solid Java development skills, and experience delivering production-ready solutions in complex environments.
You will collaborate with designers, content teams, product owners, and technical stakeholders to improve digital experiences and content workflows.
This position offers the opportunity to work with modern AEM architectures, cloud-based delivery models, and advanced personalization capabilities.
The successful candidate will combine technical depth, problem-solving skills, and a passion for creating high-quality digital platforms.
### Accountabilities:
The AEM Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level Adobe Experience Manager solutions. This role requires strong technical execution, collaboration across teams, and a focus on creating reliable, scalable, and user-friendly digital experiences.
- Design and develop AEM Sites components, templates, content fragments, and reusable digital assets using modern AEM development practices.
- Build and maintain AEM backend solutions including OSGi services, Sling Models, servlets, and Java-based implementations.
- Develop front-end experiences using HTL, JavaScript, and modern development frameworks and build tools.
- Implement headless and hybrid content delivery solutions using AEM Content Fragments, GraphQL APIs, and modern delivery approaches.
- Build and enhance solutions using AEM as a Cloud Service and cloud-native deployment practices.
- Develop and customize AEM Assets workflows, DAM configurations, metadata schemas, and content management processes.
- Integrate AEM with Adobe Experience Cloud solutions and external enterprise systems.
- Support personalization, experimentation, and targeted content delivery initiatives using AEM and related platforms.
- Optimize website performance through caching strategies, Dispatcher configuration, and application tuning.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Cloud Manager, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, documentation, and engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues across author, publish, and Dispatcher environments while collaborating with technical teams.
- Partner with content authors, designers, and product teams to improve content creation workflows and user experiences.
- Stay current with AEM releases, cloud service updates, and Adobe ecosystem advancements.
## Requirements:
The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing enterprise AEM solutions and a deep understanding of modern Adobe Experience Manager architecture. They should be comfortable working across backend, frontend, cloud, and content management technologies while collaborating with diverse teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional AEM development experience.
- Strong expertise in Java, OSGi, Sling, HTL, and AEM development frameworks.
- Experience with AEM Sites, AEM Assets, and AEM as a Cloud Service or AEM 6.5.
- Strong understanding of AEM architecture, including author, publish, and Dispatcher tiers.
- Hands-on experience building Content Fragments, GraphQL APIs, and headless delivery solutions.
- Strong front-end development skills with modern JavaScript and related build tools.
- Experience creating and managing CI/CD pipelines for AEM deployments.
- Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills.
- Experience integrating AEM with enterprise platforms and external systems.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Adobe Certified AEM Developer credentials are preferred.
- Experience with Edge Delivery Services, Franklin/HLX, Adobe Experience Platform, multi-region deployments, or commerce platform integrations is a plus.
