Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 17, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Pulse Job ("we," "our," or "us"). Our website and services are provided at https://pulsjob.com (including pulsjob.com and www.pulsjob.com) and in our mobile applications. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our job portal platform, including optional paid features such as Auto Apply.
2. Information We Collect
We collect information that you provide directly to us:
- Personal Information: Name, email address, phone number (optional), date of birth, and address
- Professional Information: Resume, work experience, education, skills, certifications, and career preferences
- Application Data: Job applications, cover letters, and communication with employers
- Account Information: Username, password, and profile settings
- Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our platform, including IP address, browser type, device identifiers, approximate location derived from IP or your profile, and access times
- Billing and subscriptions: When you purchase a paid feature (for example Auto Apply), we process payment references, subscription status, feature tier, country used for pricing, transaction identifiers, and related metadata through our payment partners
- Auto Apply settings and activity: If you use Auto Apply, we store your preferences (such as roles, locations, and salary range), automation logs, and records of applications submitted through the feature
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information for the following purposes:
- To provide and maintain our job portal services
- To match you with relevant job opportunities
- To facilitate communication between job seekers and employers
- To send you notifications about your applications and account
- To improve our platform and user experience
- To prevent fraud and ensure platform security
- To comply with legal obligations
- To send marketing communications (with your consent)
- To provide paid features, validate subscriptions, prevent fraud, and handle billing disputes
- To operate optional automation such as Auto Apply: match you to listings based on your criteria and submit applications on your behalf when your subscription is active and your profile meets our requirements
4. Information Sharing
We may share your information in the following circumstances:
- With Employers: When you apply for a job, we share your application materials and profile information with the relevant employer
- Service Providers: We may share information with third-party service providers who assist us in operating our platform
- Legal Requirements: We may disclose information to comply with legal obligations, court orders, or government requests
- Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred
- Payment processors: We use third-party payment providers (such as Razorpay) to collect payments for paid features. They receive transaction data needed to process payments and are subject to their own privacy notices
We will never sell your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
5. Paid features, subscriptions, and payments
Certain features—including Auto Apply for candidates and employer tools where fees apply—require payment. When you purchase a subscription or one-time access, we and our payment partners process information such as order ID, payment ID, amount, currency (pricing for Auto Apply is generally quoted in INR), subscription start and end dates, and feature tier. We use this data to deliver the feature, renew or expire access, detect fraud, and meet accounting and tax obligations.
Payment card or UPI details are collected by the payment provider according to their terms; we do not store full card numbers on our servers. See your payment provider's privacy policy for details on how they handle payment credentials.
6. Automated applications (Auto Apply)
If you subscribe to Auto Apply and enable it in your account, our systems may automatically submit job applications on your behalf to postings that match your saved criteria, using your profile and resume (or documents) you provide. Employers receive substantially the same application materials as for a manual application, identified as submitted through our platform.
You can adjust or turn off Auto Apply in your account settings. When your subscription ends or your profile no longer meets our eligibility checks, automated applications will not be sent. Auto Apply does not change how we handle personal data described elsewhere in this policy; it adds automation under your control.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. This includes encryption, secure servers, and regular security audits. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal information:
- Access: Request access to your personal information
- Correction: Request correction of inaccurate information
- Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data as described in Account deletion and recovery below. We honor applicable rights to erasure or restriction where required by law.
- Objection: Object to processing of your information
- Portability: Request transfer of your data to another service
- Withdraw Consent: Withdraw consent for data processing at any time
9. Account deletion and recovery
You may request deletion of your Pulse Job account from our dedicated page: https://pulsjob.com/delete-account. You must be signed in to complete the request. You will be asked to confirm by typing a short confirmation phrase.
What happens when you delete your account. We do not immediately remove every database record. We mark your account as deleted (a "soft delete") so that we can honor recovery if you change your mind soon after, meet legal retention needs, and maintain integrity of applications or records where the law or legitimate interests require it. Further erasure or anonymization may occur on a schedule consistent with our retention policy and applicable law.
Recovery. If you try to sign in again with email and password after deletion, we will tell you that your account is scheduled for deletion and give you the option to recover your account. Recovery restores access to your account where technically and legally possible. Sign-in with some social providers may be limited until you recover using email and password, depending on how you originally registered.
Administrators. Admin accounts cannot be deleted through this self-service flow; contact [email protected] for assistance.
10. Cookies and Tracking
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience on our platform. Cookies help us remember your preferences, understand how you use our services, and improve functionality. You can control cookie settings through your browser, but disabling cookies may limit some features.
Advertising. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or other identifiers to serve ads on our site based on your prior visits to our website or other sites on the internet. We may use advertising services (e.g. Google Ads) to show you relevant offers. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info. Your browser may also offer settings to block or limit third-party cookies. For more on how Google uses data from sites and apps that use Google services, see How Google uses data when you use our partners' sites or apps.
11. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations. Job seeker profiles and application data may be retained for up to 2 years of inactivity unless a longer period is required by law or legitimate business need. You can request deletion of your account at any time via our Delete account page (sign-in required). After a deletion request, we apply the soft-delete and retention rules described in Account deletion and recovery above.
12. Children's Privacy
Our services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.
