Job Description

Airtel Payments Bank is hiring a Software Development Engineer - II to join its backend engineering team in Gurugram. The role involves building scalable, high-performance backend systems that power India's largest digital banking platform, working closely with business and product teams on technical design, implementation, deployment, and support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend systems
  • Own technical design, implementation, deployment, and support for services
  • Perform development and unit testing in close collaboration with business teams
  • Build and maintain microservices using appropriate design patterns
  • Develop and consume SOAP/REST web services

Requirements

  • 3-6 years of experience in Core Java/J2EE and OOPS concepts
  • Strong hands-on experience with Spring and Apache Kafka
  • Good understanding of Microservices architecture and Design Patterns
  • Experience with Web Services (SOAP/REST) and Maven
  • Experience with build tools such as Jenkins
  • Experience with caching technologies such as Redis, Hazelcast, or Aerospike
  • Database knowledge of Oracle and MySQL
