Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Senior iOS Developer with 9-12+ years of hands-on iOS development experience to join a banking/financial services client's mobile engineering team on a contract basis. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Swift and the Apple ecosystem, along with a passion for building scalable, high-performing, and user-centric mobile applications. This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days per week in the Toronto office, and an in-person interview is required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain high-performance iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI
  • Write and maintain UI tests using XCTest and XCUI following TDD practices
  • Debug and optimize application performance using Xcode
  • Apply iOS architecture patterns such as MVC, MVVM, and Clean Architecture
  • Collaborate with the mobile engineering team on a banking/financial client project
  • Contribute to backend development where applicable

Requirements

  • Minimum 9-12+ years of hands-on iOS development experience
  • Prior experience with a Banking/Financial client is required
  • Strong expertise in Swift and SwiftUI
  • Experience with UI testing (XCTest, XCUI) and TDD practices
  • Proficiency with Xcode for development, debugging, and performance optimization
  • Solid understanding of iOS architecture patterns (MVC, MVVM, Clean Architecture)
  • Strong Git-based development experience
  • Backend development experience is a plus
  • Must be available for an in-person interview
  • Must be able to work hybrid, 2 days per week from the Toronto office
