Job Description

Contract opportunity for an experienced Java developer to lead event streaming initiatives, building and scaling microservices-based data pipelines using Kafka and modern Java frameworks. Onsite role in Mount Laurel, NJ requiring local or nearby candidates; in-person interview required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop event-driven microservices using Java (8+/17) and Spring Boot
  • Build and maintain streaming data pipelines using Apache Kafka and the Kafka Streams API
  • Integrate applications with Oracle, SQL Server, and NoSQL databases
  • Lead technical design discussions for event streaming architecture
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable backend systems

Requirements

  • Strong hands-on experience with Java 8 and Java 17
  • Experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture
  • Proven expertise in Apache Kafka, including the Kafka Streams API
  • Experience with Oracle, SQL Server, and/or NoSQL databases
  • Must be local to or near Mount Laurel, NJ and available for in-person interview
