**Hybrid working**
We work in-office **at least 2 days a week** to move faster, learn quicker, and build a strong, collaborative culture.
The Web & Apps department is at the heart of ASOS Technology; our goal is to create the ultimate customer experience through inspiration, engagement and excitement for the fashion industry. We achieve our objectives using the latest technologies at scale to surpass our customers’ expectations.
Are you an Android Engineer who takes pride in the success of the applications you work on? Do you enjoy seeing your apps featured with fantastic ratings on the Google Play Store, but strive to keep pushing for more?

**Here are some early considerations:**
- App featured at Google I/O 2019 & 2024 Developer Keynotes
- Kotlin & Jetpack Compose first approach
- Over 10M+ downloads
- The codebase uses modern Android Jetpack components, Kotlin Coroutines, Flow/StateFlow, and RxJava in legacy areas
- Make an impact on millions of customers
- Never ending chance of experimenting with latest tech, including KMM, Jetpack Compose and more!
- We have done some significant work to modularise the app and are continuing to follow best coding practices.
- Working with Hilt dependency injection
- Extensive UI and unit testing suites
**What you’ll be doing**
- Deliver top quality projects made using best practices and guidelines within cross-functional teams
- Work with our design team to implement clean design that respects the platform
- Work in an agile team, taking responsibility, alongside your colleagues, for the engineering team deliverables
- Take a proactive and hands-on approach in all features and tasks
## Qualifications
**Who we’d like to meet**
- You are a passionate mid level Android developer
- You are extremely comfortable with Kotlin
- You know reactive programming techniques
- You can contribute to discussions on technical architecture and design
- You believe that all code is legacy code if it isn't unit/UI tested
- You love agile / scrum and can work as part of a smaller cross-functional & feature focused team
- You can take ownership of big pieces of work, from the planning phase right through to execution and delivery
- You contribute to the wider Android community, through things like blog posts, open-source projects or giving talks
