Job Description
Join our team as an Assistant Accountant
Due to internal promotion, DOF is seeking an enthusiastic & detail-orientated Assistant Accountant to join our Finance team in Perth CBD on a permanent basis.
This is an exciting opportunity to develop your accounting career within a global organisation, gaining exposure across both Project Accounting and Financial Accounting functions supporting our Asia Pacific operations. You will work closely with experienced finance professionals, contributing to a broad range of accounting activities while building valuable technical and commercial skills in a dynamic international environment.
As an integral member of the Finance team, you'll have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues across multiple countries and business functions, supporting the financial performance and governance of a world-class offshore services organisation.
Responsibilities:
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Prepare and process customer invoices in accordance with contract terms, project milestones and billing schedules.
- Review project costs & revenue data to ensure.
- Assist with project financial reporting, billing summaries and management analysis.
- Support project teams with financial information and reconciliation of project-related transactions.
- Assist in monitoring project performance and identifying variances.
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end and year-end financial close processes.
- Support the preparation of statutory and management reporting requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits by providing accurate documentation and responding to queries.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, procedures and financial controls.
- Tertiary qualification in Accounting.
- 1–2 years' experience in a corporate accounting environment (desirable), although recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and Office 365 skills, attention to detail, organisational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively across cultures and disciplines.
