O-I is a company that is committed to fostering an inclusive environment and offers opportunities for growth and advancement. ## Job Description The Assistant Plant Engineer assists the Plant Engineer in leading and directing salaried and hourly personnel engaged in all phases of the plant engineering function, including installation, and repair and maintenance of all plant systems, equipment, grounds and facilities. The Assistant Plant Engineer should have: - Strong maintenance and/or furnace operations background - Experience with maintenance management software - Experience in a maintenance leadership role - Strong electrical background ?? - Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within the organization The Assistant Plant Engineer will: - Assist in directing preventive maintenance programs - Coordinate and supervise all construction and service work performed by outside contractors - Conduct periodic inspections of all plant systems, equipment, facilities and grounds - Review shift operations, make decisions, and implement actions relative to changes on shifts that may impact processing, procedures, personnel, equipment, and customer requirements - Track downtime and provide solutions to decrease downtime ## Qualifications - High School diploma or equivalent required, trade school or bachelor degree in Engineering would be a plus - Industrial electrical experience required - 5 years of experience in a maintenance leadership position in a manufacturing facility, glass industry experience is preferred ## Additional Information What we offer at O-I: Salary Range: The expected salary range for this position is between $91,330 - $115,000 and includes a possible 12% quarterly incentive bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based upon candidate experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
