As a result of success within the company and future focus on business grown, an exciting opportunity has arisen to be part of the Metabolite Identification team in Analytical Sciences. We are responsible for delivering both metabolite identification, soft spot and comprehensive studies along with reactive metabolite assays to support projects from early discovery right through to clinical development. **Role** As an Associate Scientist you will be primarily laboratory-based, working with our highly skilled team to ensure that reactive metabolite and metabolite identification assays, both commercial and R&D focused, are performed to a high standard and within scheduled time-frames**.** **Key Responsibilities** - Conducts routine assays and data processing to high quality within specified time frames. to tight deadlines. - To prepare, monitor and maintain compounds, stock solutions, buffers, and any other assay related materials. - To be responsible for the validation, routine maintenance and operation of laboratory equipment to support assay execution and/or sample analysis as required. - To support the execution of assigned routine and bespoke assays. - To assist in data analysis and interpretation. - To ensure all laboratory equipment and work areas are clean and in proper working order on completion of assigned tasks. - To ensure that all errors and erroneous results are reported to your supervisor with minimal delay. - To ensure accurate and complete documentation of all activities as required by relevant SOPs and Quality policies. **Skills & Competencies we look for** - Able to organise daily tasks, to work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines. - Able to manage multiple activities with awareness of personal and broader team and company priorities to achieve tight deadlines. - Able to deliver and ask for feedback and acknowledge and act on this. - Able to use initiative to solve problems and troubleshoot with the assistance of other members of the team. - Able to build strong relations within the team, and emerging engagement and collaboration with other key stakeholders. - Highly self-motivated and personable. - Possess excellent attention to detail, performing work to an exceptionally high standard, and within company and statutory safety regulations, with good verbal and written communication skills. · **Education, Qualifications and Experience** - MSc or BSc degree or equivalent with experience working within a laboratory environment. Experience could be from within a pharmaceutical company, biotech, CRO or academia. - Familiarity with laboratory workflows and LC-MS/MS or LC-ToF-MS analytical data is preferred. **What we can offer you in return** - We offer a competitive salary and benefits package - Pension on completion (but not subject to) of your 3-month probationary period.
