Is your head in the clouds?
Our federal client is seeking a Cloud Architect to design, manage, and maintain their critical cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to support their production, development, and testing environments.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain and optimize the existing AWS environment, including virtual machines, storage, and key management systems.
- Implement cloud architecture solutions for new systems and applications as needed.
- Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and load to ensure cost-effective and reliable operations.
- Proactively resolve issues affecting system readiness or security.
- Ensure the cloud environment complies with IT security directives, NIST SP 800-53, and other federal regulations.
- Oversee key management activities, including encryption and key rotation using AWS KMS.
- Collaborate with DevOps Engineer to support CI/CD systems, including Kubernetes, Docker, and Jenkins.
- Ensure seamless integration and deployment of cloud-hosted applications.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation of the cloud infrastructure and provide technical guidance on cloud best practices.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
- 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar role managing AWS environments.
- Proven expertise in designing and managing large-scale, cloud-based systems.
- Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, RDS, and KMS.
- Proficiency with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform.
- Strong understanding of IT security principles, including encryption, patching, and incident response.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional).
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legal resident with at least three years of continuous residency in the United States.
- Ability to pass a federal background check.
