Job Description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a AWS QuickSight BI Developer based in United States. This role offers the opportunity to design and deliver scalable business intelligence solutions that help organizations make better data-driven decisions. You will build interactive dashboards, reporting frameworks, and analytics solutions within a modern cloud environment. The position combines technical expertise in AWS analytics, data modeling, visualization, and stakeholder collaboration. You will work closely with business users, engineers, and technical teams to transform complex reporting needs into reliable solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong Amazon QuickSight experience, SQL skills, and a passion for improving analytics efficiency and usability. This is a high-impact opportunity to create governed, reusable BI capabilities that support enterprise-level decision-making. ### Accountabilities - Design, develop, enhance, and maintain interactive dashboards, analyses, visualizations, and datasets using Amazon QuickSight. - Build high-performance reporting solutions optimized for large data volumes, usability, refresh efficiency, and operational reliability. - Develop curated datasets, semantic reporting layers, and reusable data models that support enterprise analytics requirements. - Create standardized dashboard templates, KPI definitions, calculated fields, QuickSight themes, and modular reporting components for consistent reporting across teams. - Implement data governance practices, including row-level security, role-based access controls, and appropriate permissions management. - Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, product owners, data engineers, and technical teams to translate requirements into scalable BI solutions. - Enable self-service analytics by developing documentation, reusable frameworks, training materials, and user guidance. - Integrate and optimize data sources across AWS analytics services such as Redshift, Athena, S3, RDS, and Glue Data Catalog. - Optimize dashboard performance through effective use of SPICE, direct query approaches, dataset design, and query tuning. - Monitor and improve reporting performance, reliability, and cost efficiency across analytics solutions. - Establish BI development standards, naming conventions, governance processes, and version control practices. - Support testing, troubleshooting, deployment activities, and continuous improvement of reporting products. - Leverage AI-assisted development tools and emerging generative AI capabilities to improve dashboard creation, documentation, automation, and analytics delivery while maintaining security standards. ## Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. - 5–8 years of experience in business intelligence, analytics engineering, reporting, data visualization, or related enterprise data roles. - Hands-on experience designing and developing dashboards and reporting solutions using Amazon QuickSight. - Strong SQL skills and experience with relational and analytical data modeling. - Experience working with AWS analytics and data services such as Athena, Redshift, S3, RDS, and Glue. - Proven ability to create reusable datasets, KPI frameworks, calculated fields, dashboard templates, and reporting components. - Knowledge of dashboard optimization, dataset performance tuning, and analytics cost-management practices. - Experience using AI-assisted development or analytics tools such as Amazon Q, GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, or similar solutions to improve productivity and reporting workflows. - Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders. - Ability to obtain and maintain public trust access for federal information systems and successfully complete required background checks. - Must be authorized to work in the United States. - Experience implementing QuickSight templates, themes, parameterized dashboards, and reusable reporting frameworks is preferred. - Familiarity with BI governance, semantic layers, enterprise metrics management, and data engineering concepts is a plus. - Experience optimizing cloud analytics workloads for performance and cost efficiency is preferred. - Familiarity with other BI platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is beneficial. - AWS or relevant cloud/data analytics certifications are a plus. - Experience in consulting, client-facing, or federal contracting environments is preferred. ## Benefits - Competitive compensation package based on experience and qualifications. - Fully remote work environment with flexibility to support work-life balance. - Opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects focused on improving data accessibility and decision-making. - Collaborative culture that values diverse perspectives, innovation, and continuous learning. - Exposure to modern AWS cloud technologies and enterprise analytics solutions. - Opportunities to work with experienced professionals across technical and business teams. - Professional development opportunities and support for continued skill growth. - Inclusive workplace focused on employee well-being and long-term career development.
