Job Description
Baanyan Software Services is hiring a Mainframe Developer for a direct-client contract role. The consultant will maintain and enhance legacy mainframe applications supporting core business systems for enterprise clients across the United States, with placement support and onboarding within approximately 90 days.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain COBOL/mainframe applications
- Write and optimize JCL scripts for batch processing
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents on mainframe systems
- Work with DB2 databases for data access and integrity
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on system enhancements
Requirements
- Valid U.S. work authorization (OPT, STEM OPT, H-4 EAD, TN, L2S, or other valid U.S. work visa)
- Hands-on experience with COBOL, JCL, and CICS
- Experience with DB2 or similar mainframe database systems
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work on assignments across the United States
