### Business Development Manager | Coil Steels NSW Build Relationships. Drive Growth. Create Your Legacy. Coil Steels is seeking an experienced and driven Business Development Manager to take ownership of business growth across Greater Sydney and regional NSW. This is a rare opportunity to join a well-established and respected Australian steel distributor, playing a key role in expanding our customer base, strengthening long-term relationships, and driving sustainable business growth. We're looking for a motivated sales professional who enjoys, meeting customers face-to-face, and developing lasting partnerships. About the Role Reporting to the NSW Sales Manager, you'll be responsible for identifying new business opportunities while managing and growing an established customer portfolio across a diverse range of industries. Success in this role comes from your ability to build trust, understand customer needs, and deliver tailored solutions, selling strategies that create value for both customers and the business. Key Responsibilities - Build, maintain and strengthen long-term relationships with existing and prospective customers. - Identify, develop and secure new business opportunities across Sydney Metro and regional NSW. - Conduct regular face-to-face customer visits and site meetings. - Understand customer requirements and provide tailored selling solutions. - Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing and successfully close sales opportunities. - Work closely with internal sales, operations, supply chain and customer service teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes. - Maintain an active sales pipeline and achieve agreed sales targets. - Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging business opportunities. - Ensure customers receive outstanding service and ongoing support. - Contribute to the continued growth and success of the business. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: - Previous experience in Business Development or Industrial Distribution Sales. - Strong knowledge of sheet and coil products. - Selling experience within the residential, industrial, manufacturing or construction sectors. - A genuine passion for building customer relationships through face-to-face sales. - Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship-building skills. - A strong customer focus with a reputation for delivering on commitments. - A self-motivated, proactive and results-driven approach. - The ability to work autonomously while contributing positively to a collaborative team. - A stable employment history and a desire to build a long-term career. Technical Skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. - Experience with Pronto ERP or similar business systems is highly regarded. - Experience maintaining and utilising CRM systems. - Strong commercial acumen and problem-solving skills.
