We are a subsidiary of Nikkiso Company Ltd, a leading industrial manufacturer headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, with over USD 1.2B in annual revenue, 8,000 + employees worldwide, and publicly traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange. ## Job Overview A Mid Senior Professional applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. CAD Designer II will prepare and review 3D Modelling, 2D Fabrication Drawings and BOM with the help of Software. Handle query resolution, troubleshooting and technical deviation evaluation. S/He applies conceptual knowledge of Piping engineering, International Codes, Good engineering practice and Internal standard/procedure mainly for ASU & O&G domain, with a moderate level of guidance and direction from colleagues and leadership to fulfill customer satisfaction. ## Responsibilities Essential Functional: - Responsibilities: - 3d modelling, assembly & drafting in 3d software (Inventor). - Prepare/Revise 3d Model, Drawings & Store it in PLM Tool (Product center). - Submit Drawings to relevant departments by transmittal and upload on PLM tool. - Check drawings & BOM of junior designers prior to submission ensuring released of error free/accurate drawings to manufacturing/project team. - Structural (frame) modelling & drafting. - Preparation of Skid/Equipment foundation plan as per vendor input and customer plot plan. - Piping lines, equipment, valves, instruments, cable tray modelling & drafting. - Understanding various pipe support, usage and BOM preparation. Interpretation of Pipe and Structural stress analysis for support and frame design. - Need to make bill of material in ERP system (AREV). - Need to upload standard part, assembly & drawings in PLM software. - Good knowledge and Proficiency in 2d & 3d software (AutoCAD, and Inventor/Solid works). - Knowledge of piping spool fabrication, modeling & drafting in 3d software. - Experience in industrial (oil & gas) design/drafting. - Make model, assembly and drawing as per best practices for pipe routing, equipment operation-maintenance feasibility, access requirement, instrument placement and recommendations from various code and standards. - Knowledge of skid mount equipment, structure, piping, tubing, panels & cable tray - Coordinate with Manufacturing, Quality and Project team for any query and provide resolution. - Participate in internal project update meetings. Communicate with customers when needed. - Follow department workflow for Timesheet, Task planning update and EHS policy. - Understanding of PLM & ERP system. - Ability to work with minimum supervision, attention to detail, self-checking and improvement. - Self-motivated for learning and helping others. - Prepare piping GA drawings, isometrics, fabrication drawings, and support details. - Ensure drawings and models comply with applicable engineering standards and company procedures. - Coordinate with Process, Mechanical, Structural, and Project Engineering teams to resolve design issues. - participate in design reviews, model reviews, and constructability assessments. - Assist in standardization and continuous improvement of piping design and detailing practices - Software Proficiency - Autodesk AutoCAD - Autodesk Inventor/Solid work - AutoCAD Plant 3d - MS Office tools (Word, XL & Power Point) - Authorities: - - Drawing/sketch/read lines & BOM preparation - Hold mark on shop floor - Vendor GA drawing & Customer Drawing review and approval Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but does serve as a coach and mentor for other positions in the department. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. This role, routinely uses standard office equipment such as laptop computers, photocopiers, and smartphones Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary. ## Qualifications Education, Experience and Skills: - Mechanical engineering Diploma 5-8 yr exp. / B.E. 4-7 years experience with relevant experience. - Exposure of code & standard: ASME B31.3, ANSI, ASCE, API, NEMA - Proficient in Piping and Structure modelling using 3D software Inventor/Solid Works/AutoCAD plant 3d. - Knowledge of designing Skid based Package solutions will be preferred. - Ensure product designs meet required safety and structural standards. - Blend technique and aesthetics to create final designs. - Hands on experience (4 to 5 year) in developing Piping layout in 2D/3D environment.   • Prepare and revise 3D models, drawings, and store them in the PLM tool.

  • Perform structural frame modeling and drafting.
  • Prepare skid and equipment foundation plans based on vendor and customer inputs.
  • Model piping lines, equipment, valves, instruments, and cable trays.

  • Create bills of material in the ERP system (AREV).
