Job Description The Milwaukee Tool brand is an industry leader, and our products are utilized by professionals across the country. We are looking for a Graphic Designer Co ‑ op to join our talented brand team and gain hands‑on experience supporting impactful creative work. This role is designed for a student who is eager to learn, grow their design skills in a professional environment, and contribute creatively while developing a strong foundation in branding, production, and creative services. The Graphic Designer Co ‑ op will support the development and execution of design work across multiple touchpoints, helping bring our brand to life. A successful candidate is passionate about design, curious, and motivated to create quality work while learning from experienced designers and cross‑functional partners. What You Will Do - Ensure consistency and adherence to Milwaukee Tool brand guidelines across assigned projects. - Support the creation of visually appealing, on‑brand designs for a variety of mediums, including print collateral, digital assets, packaging, and promotional materials. - Assist with the design and development of creative concepts, layouts, and visual assets for marketing materials such as digital ads, social media, web banners, presentations, brochures, and flyers. - Collaborate with designers, marketers, and cross‑functional partners to understand project requirements and target audiences. - Participate in brainstorming sessions and provide creative input while learning brand strategy and design problem‑solving. - Support the review and proofreading of designs to ensure accuracy, consistency, and quality. - Help maintain organized design files and assets and contribute to the company’s Digital Asset Management (DAM) platform. - Assist with photo and video coordination for select projects as needed. - Learn how to manage multiple small to mid‑scope projects in a fast‑paced environment with guidance and mentorship. - Stay curious about trends in design, branding, marketing, and technology, and apply learnings to creative work. What You Will Bring - Currently enrolled in a College or University graphic design program - Some experience with graphic design through coursework, internships, freelance work, or personal projects. - A portfolio (student or personal work) that demonstrates creativity, visual design skills, and an understanding of design fundamentals. - Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; familiarity with After Effects or motion design tools is a plus. - Solid foundational understanding of design principles, typography, layout, and color theory. - Eager to learn, open to feedback, and motivated to improve craft and technical skills. - Strong attention to detail and pride in producing thoughtful, polished work. - Able to work collaboratively in a team environment and take direction effectively. - Effective verbal and written communication skills. - Organized, dependable, and interested in learning how design supports business and brand goals. - Interest in working in a fast‑paced, real‑world design environment. - Exposure to 3D rendering, animation, or photography is a bonus, but not required. Key Responsibilities
