Key Responsibilities

• Build pixel-perfect, buttery-smooth UIs across both mobile platforms (iOS and Android)
• Leverage native APIs for deep integrations with both platforms
• Diagnose and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks for performance that feels native
• Reach out to the open source community to encourage and help implement mission-critical software fixes
• Maintain code and write automated tests to ensure the product is of the highest quality
• Transition existing React web apps to React Native
• Work with react-native-tvos and implement focus-navigation in both AndroidTV and tvOS
• Implement pixel perfect UIs that match designs
• Implement clean, modern, smooth animations and transitions for excellent user experience
• Integrate third-party APIs
• Write unit and integration tests
• Release applications to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store
• Write performant applications for low-end devices while maintaining consistent UX for both Android and iOS
• Architect, build and maintain excellent React Native applications with clean code

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in developing React Native applications
• Experience with react-native-tvos and focus-navigation in both AndroidTV and tvOS
• Knowledge of AVPlayer and ExoPlayer
• Firm grasp of JavaScript and TypeScript (or ClojureScript) including ES6+ syntax
• Knowledge of object-oriented programming
• Ability to write well-documented, clean JavaScript code
• Rock solid at working with third-party dependencies and debugging dependency conflicts
• Familiarity with native build tools such as XCode and Gradle
• Understanding of REST APIs, the document request model, and offline storage
• Experience with automated testing suites
• Experience using dev tools like react-dev tools, Charles, etc.
