We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Consultant Specialist. Business: Asia & Middle East Technology Job ID: 53883 Principal responsibilities - Build and enhance mobile features using Kotlin/Java (Android) and/or Swift (iOS) to support core customer journeys and growth scenarios. - Work with Product Owners, Designers, and Architects to translate business requirements into clear, actionable technical solutions and engineering designs. - Contribute to mobile architecture: modularisation, dependency management, design patterns, navigation, and state management to ensure scalability and maintainability. - Build and maintain automated testing (unit tests, UI tests, etc.). - Support and optimise CI/CD and release processes to improve repeatability and stability of delivery. - Participate in production readiness and operations collaboration: monitoring and alert optimisation, troubleshooting, defect fixes, performance tuning, and post-incident reviews/continuous improvement. - Write and maintain engineering documentation (technical designs, runbooks, operating procedures) to remain audit-friendly and traceable. - Collaborate with global teams across multiple regions to drive engineering standards and share best practices (e.g. Show & Tell / technical sharing sessions). Requirements - Bachelor’s degree or above (Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline). - Strong native mobile development experience: - Android: Kotlin/Java, Android SDK, Jetpack (e.g. ViewModel/Room/Navigation/Compose where applicable), threading and concurrency, performance and memory management. - iOS: Swift, UIKit/SwiftUI where applicable, concurrency, networking, persistence, performance and memory management. - Familiar with mobile engineering and build systems: Android Gradle ecosystem / iOS Xcode build, dependency management (SPM/CocoaPods, etc.). - Strong mobile architecture and engineering practices: layered design, code reviews, refactoring, technical debt management, and testability-by-design. - Familiar with automated testing and high-quality delivery: unit testing is essential; UI automation experience is a plus. - Strong API integration skills: REST/JSON, error handling, retry/fallback resilience patterns, and basic observability awareness (logs, metrics, traces). - Comfortable working in agile teams and proficient with collaboration tools such as Jira/Confluence. - Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to drive delivery across teams and regions.
