Job Description

**This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Content Video Editor based in Canada.** This role offers the opportunity to create impactful short-form video content for digital marketing campaigns across major social platforms. You will transform creative concepts and scripts into engaging visual stories designed to capture attention and drive performance. Working closely with creative and marketing teams, you will bring ideas to life through editing, motion graphics, animations, and visual effects. The position is ideal for a creative professional who understands social media trends, storytelling techniques, and the elements behind high-performing content. You will work in a fast-paced, international remote environment where creativity, ownership, and attention to detail are highly valued. This is a chance to directly influence brand engagement by producing compelling videos that connect with audiences worldwide. ### Accountabilities: The Content Video Editor will be responsible for creating engaging short-form video assets that support marketing initiatives and audience growth. Key responsibilities include: - Editing high-quality short-form video ads for social media platforms and digital marketing campaigns. - Transforming scripts, concepts, and creative briefs into polished and engaging video content. - Creating and integrating captions, motion graphics, animations, sound effects, music, and visual effects. - Sourcing and incorporating stock footage, AI-generated assets, and other creative materials when needed. - Adapting videos for different platforms, formats, and advertising requirements, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. - Collaborating with copywriters, marketers, designers, and other creative team members throughout the content production process. - Staying current with video editing trends, viral formats, audience behaviors, and emerging creative techniques. - Managing multiple video projects simultaneously while maintaining strong quality standards and meeting deadlines. - Applying creative judgment to improve storytelling, pacing, visual appeal, and overall content performance. ## Requirements: The ideal candidate is a creative video professional with strong editing expertise, a passion for digital storytelling, and the ability to produce content that performs well in a fast-moving environment. Required qualifications and skills include: - Proven experience in video editing with a strong portfolio showcasing creative and engaging work. - Experience creating short-form video content, advertisements, or social media-focused campaigns. - Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, hooks, transitions, subtitles, and sound design. - Proficiency with video editing tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or similar software. - Experience with motion graphics, animation, and visual effects is highly valued. - Familiarity with modern SaaS-style animations, 3D animation, or Morioka-style design is a strong advantage. - Experience using AI-powered creative tools is a plus. - Strong creative vision with excellent attention to detail and visual design skills. - Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. - Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment. - Passion for creating high-quality content that captures attention and delivers measurable results. ## Benefits: The role provides the opportunity to work in a creative, collaborative, and flexible environment while contributing to impactful marketing content.
