Key Responsibilities

• Design and architect enterprise-level applications at a Lead level, making sound technical decisions around system design, data flow and component interaction
• Independently debug complex issues in C++ codebases with precision
• Apply Python in a financial/capital markets context for tooling and analysis
• Work with SQL for core data operations including joins, aggregations, indexing and query optimization
• Apply clean code principles, design patterns and event-driven architecture in system design
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, containerized deployments, and infrastructure as code
• Support trading workflows and trade lifecycle management across multiple asset classes

Requirements

• University degree in Engineering or Computer Science preferred
• 10+ years of overall software engineering experience with enterprise-level applications
• Must-have experience in capital markets with sound understanding of trading workflows and trade lifecycle across equities, fixed income, derivatives, OTC and FX
• Strong working experience in C++ with ability to independently debug complex issues
• Proficiency in Python with hands-on experience in a financial/capital markets context
• Strong foundational knowledge of SQL, including joins, aggregations, indexing and query optimization
• Demonstrated experience designing and architecting applications at a Lead level
• Knowledge of software development best practices: clean code, design patterns, event-driven architecture
• Must-have experience in AWS Cloud
• Must-have experience with DevOps practices: CI/CD pipelines, Docker/Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, automated deployment
• FIX protocol experience strongly preferred
• Familiarity with AI tools and LLMs is a plus
• Nice to have: Terraform experience
• Nice to have: Knowledge of Bloomberg and/or Murex trading platforms
• Nice to have: Experience in other programming languages like Java
