Responsibilities
We are hiring a Cyber Systems Engineer who will provide technical expertise to the Army’s Project Management Office (PMO), Aircraft Survivability Equipment (ASE), in Huntsville, AL.
What you'll do:
- Assist and advise product offices on DoD RMF continuous monitoring requirements.
- Using DoD Risk Management Framework, candidates must be able to determine security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements; researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying architecture/platform; assist PM ASE SME’s in identifying integration issues and preparing cost estimates. creating, completing, and completing documentation and artifacts in support of continuous monitoring activities.
- Creation and maintenance of eMASS packages using vendor and organization provided information.
- Verifies security systems by using DoD approved technologies such as STIG/ACAS/Static Code Analysis.
- Maintains security by monitoring and ensuring compliance to standards, policies, and procedures; conducting incident response analyses; developing and conducting table-top exercises.
- Responsible for the review of DoD cyber architectures, systems, or system components for use within computing, network, and enclave environments.Ensures that the architecture and design of development and operational systems are functional and secure. This includes designs for program of record systems and special purpose processing nodes with platform IT interconnectivity.
Qualifications
**Basic Qualifications:**
The candidate must:
- AS/AA and 4 years of experience, BS/BA and 2 years of experience, or 6 years of applicable experience
- Be fluent in the Microsoft Office toolset
- Clearance: Active Secret required
- Be able to work onsite from the customer facility on a regular basis
- Experience with Army Risk Management Framework
- Familiarity with National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Guidelines
**Desired Qualifications**:
- Knowledge of Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIGS)
- Experience with Assured Compliance and Assessment Solution (ACAS)
- Experience with Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS)
- Have experience in reverse engineering and the intelligence community

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position. Salary is determined by various factors, including but not limited to, the scope and responsibilities of the position, the individual’s experience, education, knowledge, skills, and competencies, as well as geographic location and business and contract considerations. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
