Job Description

**Data Scientist** **Permanent Position** **Hybrid, from our Wimbledon Office** Domestic & General is growing fast across 14 countries, protecting the appliances that keep households running and reducing waste by extending the life of everyday devices. As we scale, we’re looking for a Data Scientist to contribute to the delivery of high-quality data science solutions to business problems. **The Role** The Data Scientist role is to support the delivery of high-quality data science solutions to business problems. Working across machine learning and AI projects, the role is technical in nature, with a strong focus on learning how to translate data into business value. By supporting the development of models and analysis, the role contributes to data-driven decision making across areas such as pricing, marketing campaigns, and service/operations. **What You’ll Do** - Support the delivery of machine learning projects, helping apply appropriate techniques to real problems. - Help maintain and improve existing models, - Contribute ideas to how the team plans and prioritises its work. - Work closely with others in the team, sharing progress and learning from more experienced colleagues. - Help break down business problems and supports building solutions. **About You** We’d love to hear from you if you bring: - A degree in an IT, computing or Data related field. - A grounding in machine learning, statistics, and programming. - Knowledge of common data modelling techniques. - An interest in how AI can be applied to data science problems. - Exposure to tools such as cloud platforms and data pipelines. - A willingness to develop and grow by learning from more tenured colleagues. **We offer lots of great benefits!
