We are seeking a skilled and motivated Data Scientist/Sustainment Engineer to join our dynamic Data & Analytics team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in statistics, machine learning, data mining, and IT Service Management (ITSM) platform administration. This role requires the ability to visualize and communicate complex data in a clear and compelling manner, as well as provide support for the overall workload and execution of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) tasks on the Situational Awareness as a Service (SAaaS) instance of ServiceNow.
Responsibilities:
• Work with cross-functional teams to identify, research, and solve complex analytical problems.
• Analyze large data sets to extract meaningful insights.
• Design, build, and maintain machine learning models and algorithms.
• Collaborate with data engineers to improve data collection and storage.
• Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
• Support the organization's broad-spectrum Data Management requirements, including Data Strategy/Modeling/Documentation, Data Feed Identification, Infrastructure Management, Data Ingestion/Data Feed Automation, Data Transformation, Data Catalog and Metadata Management, Data Quality Management, and Data Governance.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Tableau dashboards and reports to support business objectives.
• Integrate Tableau with various data sources, including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and spreadsheets.
• Stay updated on the latest Tableau features, best practices, and emerging BI trends.
• Respond to Incidents and Changes submitted by customers, to include Tier 2 level triage.
• Respond to alerts and customer reported issues, escalate problems as required, and resolve tickets by exercising independent judgment within established support practices.
• Assist deployment team with approved release packages and break-fix solutions on ServiceNow in accordance with Configuration, Change, and Release Management policies and procedures.
• Assist with developing installation instructions and supporting documentation to affect system design deployments.
• Work with a team to provide technical input in the areas of system design, installation, configuration, tuning, capacity planning, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
• Patch cloud servers and applications, configure software, respond to service outages, monitor system performance, and troubleshoot systems issues.
Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI Clearance with a Polygraph.
• 5+ years experience as a Data Scientist, Data Analyst, or similar role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Security+ or DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification or be able to obtain certification within 3 months of hire.
• Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, including data connection, data manipulation, and data visualization.
• Experience with scripting in Tableau (e.g., automation, troubleshooting, integration, performance optimization).
• Knowledge of statistical analysis methodologies and data visualization tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills needed to work with business partners, engineering teams, and users requiring break fix actions.
• Good team player with a strong willingness to participate and help others.
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-moving environment with a high sense of urgency and self-motivation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and other relevant programming languages.
Desired:
• Tableau Certified Professional - Preferred.
• Current Security+ or DOD 8570 IAT Level II Certification.
• Knowledge of cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).

Pay Range:
There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:
$103,800 - $218,100
