Job Description

DataPattern is hiring an Exterior Trim Design Engineer to design and develop automotive exterior trim components from concept to production, owning bumper, fascia, cladding, garnish, spoiler, and related exterior parts through feasibility, packaging, and manufacturability studies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop automotive exterior trim components from concept to production
  • Own the design and release of bumper, fascia, cladding, garnish, spoiler, and related exterior parts
  • Perform feasibility, packaging, and manufacturability studies
  • Collaborate with suppliers and cross-functional teams to meet vehicle development milestones
  • Support prototype builds, validation, and production launch activities
  • Ensure designs comply with quality, cost, and manufacturing requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or related)
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive exterior trim design
  • Hands-on experience with CATIA V6
  • Strong knowledge of plastic tooling, injection molding, feasibility studies, and plastic manufacturing technologies
