## Description
OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to support the development and deployment of classified software products for U.S. Government customers. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure across cloud and containerized environments. The ideal candidate has deep expertise in AWS, Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, and Linux, along with a strong background in DevOps practices and automation.
GENERAL DUTIES:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-native infrastructure within AWS environments.
- Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Kubernetes and Red Hat OpenShift.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using industry-standard tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Administer and troubleshoot Linux-based systems supporting mission-critical applications.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
- Collaborate with software engineers, cybersecurity personnel, and systems engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with federal security requirements, organizational policies, and DevSecOps best practices.
- Support classified product development in secure computing environments.
## Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field.
o Four (4) additional years of directly related professional experience may
be substituted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of professional experience in AWS cloud engineering,
- Linux system administration, DevOps engineering, or a combination of these disciplines.
- Strong hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
- Extensive experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
- Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
- Advanced Linux administration and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar).
- Experience with Git-based source control and modern DevOps workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting classified or DoD development environments.
- Familiarity with DevSecOps principles and secure software development practices.
- Experience with container security, vulnerability management, and compliance frameworks.
- AWS and/or Red Hat certifications.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Splunk.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a secure environment.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Commitment to automation, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment supporting national security objectives.
CLEARANCE:
- Active Top Secret minimum security clearance required
