Job Description
**Senior DevOps Engineer – One Identity Access Management (IAM)**
**Location:** Utrecht, Netherlands
**Hours:** 36 hours per week
**Rate:** Competitive
## About the Role
We are seeking two experienced **Senior DevOps Engineers** with deep expertise in **One Identity Manager** and **Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)**. This role focuses on enhancing, automating, and optimizing Identity & Access Management services within a complex, highly regulated enterprise environment.
You will play a key role in improving the quality, scalability, and control maturity of IAM services by driving automation, remediating existing solutions, and implementing sustainable engineering improvements. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals who enjoy solving complex technical challenges while contributing to secure, compliant, and efficient identity management services.
## Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance One Identity Manager solutions to improve IAM service quality and scalability.
- Remediate existing IAM services and configurations to strengthen control effectiveness, stability, and audit readiness.
- Automate manual service and control-related activities to improve efficiency, consistency, and traceability.
- Translate operational issues, technical risks, and control findings into sustainable engineering solutions.
- Improve monitoring, evidencing, logging, and technical documentation for IAM services.
- Design reusable engineering patterns and best practices across the One Identity landscape.
- Support secure provisioning, modification, and deprovisioning of user access.
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, Risk & Compliance teams, architects, and fellow engineers.
- Contribute to backlog refinement by translating business and compliance requirements into technical solutions.
- Continuously improve service reliability, automation, and operational efficiency within an Agile DevOps environment.
## Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience as a DevOps Engineer, IAM Engineer, or Software Engineer within complex enterprise environments.
- Strong hands-on experience with **One Identity Manager** and **Identity Governance & Administration (IGA)**.
- Advanced SQL skills, including writing, optimizing, and analyzing queries and datasets.
- Experience with SQL Server, APIs, web services, scripting, automation tools, job services, data mapping, and system integrations.
- Strong understanding of Identity & Access Management principles, including:
- User provisioning and deprovisioning
- Access recertification
- Identity reconciliation
- Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
- Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC)
- Policy-Based Access Control (PBAC)
- Segregation of Duties (SoD)
- API orchestration
- Experience improving and remediating existing IAM services rather than exclusively building new solutions.
- Experience automating operational processes, control execution, monitoring, or evidencing activities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and implement sustainable solutions.
- Experience working within highly regulated environments with strong governance and audit requirements.
- Professional proficiency in both **English and Dutch**.
## Preferred Experience
- Enterprise Identity Governance & Administration platforms.
- Automation and scripting for IAM operations.
- DevOps methodologies and Agile delivery.
- IT risk, compliance, and security-focused engineering.
- Large-scale enterprise system integrations.
## What We're Looking For
- A senior engineer with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
- Strong technical expertise combined with a passion for automation and continuous improvement.
- Someone who can balance engineering excellence with governance, compliance, and operational control.
- An excellent communicator who can collaborate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- A team player who enjoys mentoring others and contributing to the maturity of engineering practices.
This is a long-term contract opportunity for experienced IAM professionals looking to make a significant impact by improving secure identity services within a large-scale enterprise environment. Candidates must be available for the full duration of the assignment and be comfortable working in a hybrid environment.
