## Overview
Position Summary: Responsible for providing design expertise to the Communications Department by executing production, design, print projects and website design content to assure deadlines are achieved, maintain departmental filing system on such projects, act as liaison between Communications and Client Departments and/or print vendors to ensure that all necessary approval steps are received on select 'production-only' jobs, but also as needed on other collaborative design and print jobs. The Digital Designer will procure print job quotes and oversee press runs. The Designer will work closely with the Director to ensure that the GISD brand is accurately represented on all collateral. The Designer will also maintain content updates to the GISD website. Familiarity with photography and videography is required.
## Responsibilities
# Essential Functions Statements:
- Creates compelling designs for marketing collateral including data sheets, brochures, flyers and website
- Collaborates with Learning and Development team to create and update organizational eLearnings.
- Email Marketing. Keep VIP rewards program participants informed of current programs, events and happenings. Manages Ticket to Work
- Oversees photography, videography and audio recordings for all
- Produces advertising email and digital campaigns aimed at driving brand awareness, engagement and
- Manages all print production and delivery, including the supervision of press runs. Reviews invoices and contracts for print jobs.
- Researches new vendors, competitively bids projects and negotiates pricing and qualities needed. Acts as a liaison between vendors and internal purchasing department.
- Supervises projects orders, including purchasing and tracking to ensure timely processing and delivery to relevant internal departments.
- Creates, Schedules, Coordinates, and Reports the progress of Marketing and Communications projects with internal
- \_Collaborates with the Social Media Designer to ensure cohesive marketing campaigns across advertising, web, social, and email.
- Other duties as assigned.
## Qualifications
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in graphic arts or any combination of training and/or experience equivalent to the completion of a Bachelor’s degree preferred. Marketing experience preferred.
Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in graphic arts, print production, and website maintenance. Knowledge of digital and offset print manufacturing, with pre-press and finishing processes knowledge (i.e. file prep, press quality/color checks, scoring/folding). Must have a high level of interpersonal and problem solving skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take on multiple tasks. Ability to read and understand written sales orders/quotes, sample sheets and proofs.
Computer Skills: Excellent computer skills. Experience with direct mail (electronic and physical) (i.e. Constant Contact, Campaign Monitor etc.). Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Email Marketing. Strong proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro and PowerPoint. Proficient in WordPress content editing and maintenance. Experience managing Google AdWords Accounts.
Certificates & Licenses: Must have a valid CA driver’s license, proof of insurance and driving record acceptable by Goodwill’s insurance company.
