This remote consultancy role focuses on designing and delivering a customized digital platform that enables users to submit, discover, review, publish, and analyze knowledge resources. The successful candidate will build a scalable front-end experience and architect a structured backend database to support a growing content repository. The platform will serve as a central hub for climate technology knowledge sharing, improving access to research, tools, and innovation resources. The ideal consultant will work independently while collaborating closely with non-technical stakeholders and project partners. The engagement includes key development phases, testing, refinement, and recommendations for future platform growth and maintenance. ### Accountabilities The Digital Platform Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and refining a functional digital platform that supports content discovery, collaboration, and knowledge exchange. The consultant will lead technical decisions, communicate progress clearly, and ensure the platform is built with future scalability and integrations in mind. - Design and develop a clean, intuitive front-end platform for browsing, searching, filtering, and accessing digital resources. - Architect and implement a structured backend database and submission schema to organize documents, datasets, presentations, videos, and other content formats. - Build a submission portal with customizable forms, file upload capabilities, intellectual property acknowledgements, and automated reviewer workflows. - Develop review management processes that allow administrators to track submissions, assign reviewers, manage permissions, and control publication workflows. - Implement secure authentication, user roles, and access controls to protect platform privacy and content. - Integrate search and discovery capabilities, including tagging systems or AI-assisted content exploration tools. - Provide recommendations for future platform enhancements, maintenance requirements, technical roadmap, and estimated development costs. - Support testing, troubleshooting, improvements, and final adjustments during platform launch phases. ## Requirements: The ideal candidate is an experienced developer or small development team with a strong background in building lightweight data platforms and web applications.
