Job Description
GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (GZA) is currently seeking an **Early Career Environmental Engineer/Scientist** with 0-5 years of consulting experience to support our growing environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance, site investigation, and remediation practices in our Edina, MN office. The successful candidate will have a solid educational background and must be self-motivated with a professional attitude.
As an Early Career Environmental Engineer/Scientist, you will work with a fast-paced team of Scientists, Engineers, Project Managers, and Principals. You will be expected to work both in the field and in office and will gain experience in field documentation with drilling teams, soil/groundwater/soil vapor sampling, monitoring well installation and sampling, records review and data analysis. GZA emphasizes a One Company environment, and as a member of our team, you may be asked to assist on projects and tasks outside of your primary responsibilities.
When not in the field you will work in a professional office setting, preparing detailed and accurate field documentation, data analysis, and reporting. In addition, you may be exposed to our Ecological Services, Construction Management, and Geotechnical practices.
**Qualified Applicants will have:**
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Engineering/Science or related field (Master’s Degree a plus)
- 0-5 years of related environmental consulting or other relevant experience
- Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical capabilities
- Perform technical execution of projects under the supervision of project managers
- Ability to follow directions, and work independently or in a team setting
- Strong communication skills, problem solving, and organizational skills
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office suite
- Availability to work Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends
- Ability to travel locally and throughout the nation
- A valid driver’s license in good standing
- 40-hour OSHA HAZWOPER and EIT or GIT certifications are a plus
- EQuIS, CADD, ArcGIS, python are a plus
*The base salary for this position may range between $60,000 -$100,000. The actual base salary and total compensation will depend on many factors, including location, candidate experience, education, professional licensure, and other qualifications.*
