Join Bernick's as an Equipment Service Technician where every day is different. You'll install and repair vending machines, coolers, coffee equipment, ice machines, and fountain equipment while working independently throughout northern Minnesota and western Wisconsin. We provide paid training, a company vehicle, and the opportunity to build a long-term career with a fifth-generation family-owned company. Job Summary: Equipment Installation Technician'ss are responsible for providing direct service, repair, and install to Bernick’s portfolio of equipment such as Vending Machines, Fountain Equipment, Ice Machines – Air and Water Cooled, Coolers, Coffee Equipment and Frozen Beverage Equipment. Brands we service include Bunn, Curtis, True, Beverage-Air, Manitowoc, Scotsman, Cornelius, and National to name a few. Responsibilities: - Safely and successfully install Bernick's portfolio of equipment - Maintain equipment through preventative maintenance visits, as well as service calls to address immediate needs - Prioritize and manage multiple projects in a time sensitive manner - Keep accurate service records and complete work orders - Travel throughout your assigned territory using a company vehicle. Most days you'll visit several customer locations before returning home. - Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week) - Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:00PM - Rotating on-call with other Service Technicians is required: flexibility to be on-call approximately every 7th week/weekend (24/7) - Additional pay when on-call ## Requirements - Basic mechanical aptitude is required. We'll train the right candidate on our equipment. - Willingness to learn and ability to be trained in a time sensitive environment - Ability to work independently and manage time effectively - Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills - Valid driver’s license and clean driving record Bonus if you have experience with: (but not required) - HVAC - Appliance repair - Automotive repair - Maintenance - Electrical work - Refrigeration - Construction - Military mechanical experience
