# 🚛 Logistics Driver – Flatbed Tow Operator (Class C) 📍 Location: Austin, TX 💲 Pay: $27.50 per hour 🕒 Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM 📄 Employment Type: Contract ## Join the Future of Transportation Our client, a rapidly growing leader in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Logistics Driver – Flatbed Tow Operator (Class C) to support daily vehicle recovery and transportation operations. If you have experience operating flatbed tow trucks, enjoy hands-on work, and are committed to safety and customer service, we'd love to hear from you. ## What You'll Do As a Logistics Driver – Flatbed Tow Operator, you'll be responsible for safely recovering and transporting autonomous vehicles throughout the Austin area. You'll operate flatbed towing equipment, complete vehicle inspections, maintain DOT compliance, and work closely with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure vehicles are delivered safely and on schedule. Your daily responsibilities will include: - Safely recover disabled or inactive autonomous vehicles on public roads. - Operate flatbed tow trucks and perform vehicle loading, unloading, and winching procedures. - Secure vehicles properly for transport while following all safety protocols. - Transport vehicles and equipment with a combined gross vehicle weight of up to 26,000 pounds. - Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of trucks, trailers, and equipment. - Maintain accurate DOT logs, Hours of Service documentation, and transportation records. - Communicate regularly with dispatch and ground support regarding deliveries, recoveries, and route updates. - Perform routine vehicle maintenance including fueling, checking fluids, monitoring tire pressure, and reporting mechanical concerns. - Follow all DOT regulations, company policies, and safe driving practices. - Work closely with logistics and cross-functional teams to support daily fleet operations. - Deliver professional customer service while representing our client in the field. - Respond to changing priorities and recovery requests with flexibility and professionalism. ## What We're Looking For We're looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, and enjoys working both independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate is detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality service every day. ### Required Qualifications - Valid Class C Driver's License. - Clean driving record with no moving violations. - Ability to pass a background check and drug screening. - Ability to meet DOT medical and physical requirements as applicable. - Ability to safely operate large vehicles with excellent attention to detail. - Physical ability to repeatedly enter and exit vehicles throughout the day. - Ability to lift up to 35 pounds. - Strong verbal communication and organizational skills. - Comfortable working flexible hours when business needs require. - Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic. ### Preferred Qualifications - Two or more years of flatbed towing experience. - Experience operating flatbed recovery equipment and performing winching procedures. - Familiarity with DOT regulations and Hours of Service requirements. - Experience in logistics, fleet operations, towing, transportation, or roadside assistance. ## Why Join Our Client?
