Job Description

The Recruitment and Retention Specialist (RRS) will be responsible for the recruitment of new foster parents and supervision of current foster homes. The RRS will be tasked to recruit foster parents, provide all necessary trainings, SAFE questionnaires, acquire all required background checks and paperwork, write and submit the SAFE Home Study, and submit all mandated documentation to the State. Once the foster home is open, the RRS will provide quarterly trainings to foster parents and the Family Consultant (HSP) assigned to the home will supervise the foster parents and complete Foster Parent Monthly Report forms. The RRS will obtain any needed documentation, complete quarterly safety checks, and submit yearly home SAFE re- evaluations. The Family Consultant will provide annual performance evaluations to the Foster Parents. The RRS along with the Family Consultant will mediate any issues involving the foster parents regarding policy violation assessments, policy improvement plans or corrective action plans. The Family Consultant will be responsible for keeping the home in compliance with all MHCC’s policies and procedures, which include compliance with RCCL, OPM, DFCS, and CARF regulations. The RRS will be required to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual goals for the recruitment and opening of foster homes. Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field; or Bachelor’s Degree in any field WITH paid work experience in a Human Services field Or A Master’s Degree in a Human Services field and one (1-2) years of paid experience

Key Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Human Services field
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any field WITH paid work experience in a Human Services field
  • Master’s Degree in a Human Services field and one (1-2) years of paid experience
