As your initial project assignment, you will support the unique needs of our client as a Front End Developer. # Position Summary AIS is seeking an experienced Front-End Developer to support a federal customer in Washington, DC. The successful candidate will design, develop, and maintain modern, responsive web applications that support mission-critical operations. This role focuses on creating intuitive, scalable user interfaces using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML, and CSS while integrating with .NET backend services and AWS cloud environments. The ideal candidate is a hands-on developer who is passionate about delivering exceptional user experiences, building maintainable front-end solutions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment. This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and the ability to support secure and scalable enterprise applications. # Key Responsibilities - Design, develop, test, and maintain responsive web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML5, and CSS3. - Build modular, reusable, and maintainable UI components following modern front-end engineering standards and best practices. - Integrate front-end applications with backend .NET services utilizing REST APIs, JSON, and XML data exchanges. - Implement client-side state management and optimize application performance for enterprise-scale solutions. - Collaborate with UX/UI designers to translate wireframes and design concepts into functional user interfaces. - Partner with backend engineers and product teams to deliver seamless end-to-end functionality. - Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. - Conduct peer code reviews and contribute to coding standards, quality assurance, and software engineering best practices. - Troubleshoot and resolve UI defects, performance issues, and browser compatibility concerns. - Maintain source code repositories using Git and GitLab, following branching strategies and merge request workflows. - Ensure compliance with security, accessibility, and performance requirements, including Section 508 standards where applicable. - Support application deployments and operational activities within AWS-hosted environments. - Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and automation efforts supporting software delivery. # Required Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. The targeted base salary range for this role is $100,000-$150,000 per year.
