Job Description
## Your Opportunity
At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry together. We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).
Schwab Technology Services enables the future of how clients manage their money by delivering innovative, reliable technology solutions that support investing and financial planning. Within Wealth and Advisor Solutions Technology (WAS Tech), the Financial Planning team develops digital experiences and platforms that help clients translate their financial goals into action and confidently plan for their futures.
As a Full Stack Developer, you will play a key role in building and enhancing scalable, resilient software solutions that directly support Schwab’s financial planning capabilities. Working within an Agile environment, you will partner closely with product owners, architects, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders to design, develop, test, deploy, and support high-quality applications and microservices that align with business priorities and client needs. Success in this role requires the ability to solve complex technical problems, make sound engineering decisions, and continuously improve application performance, reliability, and maintainability.
You will contribute throughout the software development lifecycle, from refining requirements and decomposing user stories to delivering production-ready solutions using modern engineering practices. This includes developing RESTful services, participating in code reviews, maintaining CI/CD-driven development workflows, and ensuring quality through automated testing and trunk-based development practices. You will also support production environments, troubleshoot issues with urgency and accountability, and collaborate effectively across teams to deliver outcomes that create value for clients and the business. The role offers opportunities to share technical expertise, mentor teammates, and continuously expand your skills while contributing to a culture of innovation, adaptability, and engineering excellence.
