This position is ideal for a Full Stack Developer who enjoys combining technical expertise with innovation to create reliable and accessible digital solutions. ### Accountabilities: - Participate in discovery activities, including technical research, user-focused analysis, and solution planning to support digital transformation initiatives. - Lead technical discovery efforts by producing architecture diagrams, documentation, technical specifications, and implementation recommendations. - Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable full stack applications using modern development frameworks and industry best practices. - Collaborate closely with UX designers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver intuitive, high-quality digital experiences. - Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve functional and non-functional issues while continuously improving code quality, maintainability, and application performance. - Support solution deployments, product launches, and ongoing platform enhancements while contributing reusable components and shared technical capabilities. - Mentor team members through documentation, knowledge sharing, onboarding support, and continuous improvement of development standards and engineering practices. ## Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience. - Minimum 5 years of experience as a Full Stack Developer delivering complex software solutions within Agile development environments. - Strong experience using Git and collaborative source control workflows. - At least 3 years of hands-on experience with modern application frameworks, automated unit and integration testing, and relational and non-relational database technologies. - Solid understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and modern software engineering best practices. - Experience modernizing legacy systems, working with CI/CD pipelines, and collaborating with UX, service design, or human-centered design teams is considered an asset. - Familiarity with generative AI tools or agentic development workflows is an advantage. - Ability to obtain required security clearance and successfully complete applicable background screening requirements. ## Benefits - Competitive contract compensation: - Salaried rate: **CAD $80–$90 per hour** - Incorporated business rate: **CAD $95–$105 per hour** - Initial 12-month contract with extension potential up to an additional 24 months. - Primarily remote work environment offering excellent flexibility. - Standard weekday schedule (36.25 hours per week) supporting work-life balance. - Opportunity to contribute to impactful, large-scale digital transformation projects. - Collaborative Agile environment focused on innovation, continuous improvement, and professional growth. **How Jobgether works:** We use an **AI-powered matching process** to ensure your application is reviewed quickly, objectively, and fairly against the role's core requirements.
