About the role We're looking for a Software Engineering Intern to work closely with a senior engineer on improving and modernizing an existing web application. This internship is ideal for someone who enjoys product-minded engineering, cleaning up systems, and delivering improvements that make the app faster, more reliable, and easier to maintain. #### Key Responsibilities 1. Frontend Development - Design and develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces using React - Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, scalable code - Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimize applications for performance 2. Backend Development - Develop robust server-side logic using Python (e.g., Django, Flask, or FastAPI) - Build and maintain RESTful APIs and services - Ensure application security, scalability, and reliability 3. Database Management - Design, implement, and manage databases (SQL/NoSQL) - Optimize database queries and ensure data integrity - Handle data migrations and performance tuning 4. Full Software Development Lifecycle - Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements - Participate in system design, architecture, and technical decision-making - Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code - Develop and execute automated tests to ensure code quality - Manage deployment pipelines and release processes on cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, or Azure) 5. Version Control & Collaboration - Use Git effectively for version control, branching, and code reviews - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and QA engineers 6. Performance Optimization & Troubleshooting - Analyze and resolve complex performance bottlenecks across the stack - Debug and fix issues in production and development environments - Continuously improve application performance and scalability Qualifications (Good to have) - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience) - 2–3 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development - Strong proficiency in Python and modern frontend frameworks, especially React - Solid understanding of backend architecture and API design - Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases - Expertise in Git and version control best practices - Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deployment workflows - Experience with automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to work independently and manage the complete development lifecycle Location: Bangalore / Hybrid Salary : 20k -25k Contract Period - 6 months
