Job Description
Group Tobias is seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer with strong Java and cloud expertise for a client engagement in McLean, VA. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of application design, development, and support. This is an on-site role requiring local candidates only. Visa eligibility is limited to H1B, USC, and EAD holders.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and provide ongoing support for enterprise applications
- Work independently and take ownership of deliverables from end to end
- Proactively deliver solutions and identify improvements
- Understand and run existing Python applications and convert them to Java
- Communicate and collaborate effectively within a team environment
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Strong expertise in Java 8+, Spring Boot, SQL, JavaScript, JUnit, Maven/Gradle
- Experience with Docker, Jenkins, and CI/CD pipelines
- Must be able to understand and convert existing Python applications to Java
- Experience using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., VS Code, Amazon Kiro)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Nice to have: AWS, Angular/React, Kafka, Advanced SQL
- Eligible to work on H1B, USC, or EAD — local to McLean, VA required
