As a Guidewire Policy Center Developer - Associate, you will specialize in developing and customizing applications using the Guidewire platform, a software suite that provides insurance companies with tools for policy administration, claims management, and billing. You will be responsible for designing, coding, and testing software solutions that meet the specific needs of insurance organizations, helping clients optimize operational efficiency and achieve their strategic objectives within our Technology Consulting practice.
As an Associate, you will focus on learning and contributing to client engagements and projects while developing your skills and knowledge to deliver quality work. You will be exposed to clients to learn how to build meaningful connections, manage and inspire others, and grow your personal brand by deepening your technical knowledge of firm services and technology resources. You will be expected to adapt to working with a variety of clients and team members, each presenting varying challenges and scope, and take ownership to consistently deliver work that drives value for our clients.
In this role at PwC Acceleration Center India, you will apply a learning mindset, appreciate diverse perspectives, and adopt habits to sustain performance and develop your potential. You will actively listen, ask questions to check understanding, and clearly express ideas, all while gathering information from a range of sources to analyze facts and discern patterns.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates advanced abilities providing solution strategy and Application Evolution Services (AES, formerly AMS) delivery as a Guidewire Lead Developer. Employees in the Lead Developer position should think of themselves and be regarded by the client as a trusted advisor and think strategically about how to create value using the Guidewire Suite of products;
- Demonstrates expert abilities delivering Guidewire application solutions as it will be critical that consultant in this position are capable of navigating both business processes as well as enterprise solution perspectives at high level and holistic view;
- Demonstrates expert abilities developing a scalable and robust Guidewire Solution Strategies in a hybrid IT landscape (on premises and Cloud);
- Demonstrates expert abilities and/or a proven record of success in developing independently new market-differentiated Guidewire solutions and leading proposal development efforts; Lead Developer in these positions should be capable of delivering Advisory-level work and be able to discuss future enhancements in Guidewire roadmap discussions with the client;
- Developing and customizing applications using the Guidewire platform to meet the specific needs of insurance organizations
- Designing, coding, and testing software solutions for policy administration, claims management, and billing processes
- Analyzing client needs to implement software solutions that optimize operational efficiency
- Providing training and support for seamless integration and utilization of business applications
- Collaborating with team members and clients to gather requirements and deliver quality work
- Applying software development methodologies to enhance project outcomes
- Engaging in system development and configuration tasks for Guidewire BillingCenter and ClaimCenter
- Utilizing intellectual curiosity to explore innovative solutions and improve application performance
- Actively listening and incorporating feedback to refine software solutions and client interactions
- Building a personal brand by consistently delivering value and contributing to team success
What You Must Have
- Deep expertise in Guidewire PolicyCenter and good understanding of ClaimCenter, BillingCenter and ContactManager;
-GOSU, Guidewire Event and Rules Framework and Guidewire Web Services;
- Good Knowledge on XML & JSON formats and ANT, MAVEN, Gradle scripts;
- Experience using tools such as SOAP UI, Postman and working with code repositories such as SVN & GIT;
- Understanding of devops and build/deployment processes.
- At least a Bachelor's degree
- At least 2-4 years of experience
- Oral and written proficiency in English required

-Key contributor and thought leader internally and externally with white papers, blogs, and training.
- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Actuarial Science, Business Administration/Management, Business Analytics, Commerce, Computer and Information Science, Computer Applications, Computer Engineering, Computer Engineering & Accounting, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Economics, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Engineering and Business, Finance, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management/Research, Risk Management, Software App, Statistics
- At least one of the following: Guidewire and Scrum Master Certification
- Demonstrating proficiency in Guidewire PolicyCenter and BillingCenter
- Engaging in software development methodologies and system development
- Utilizing intellectual curiosity to drive innovative solutions
- Adapting to diverse client needs and project scopes
- Excelling in teamwork and client support environments
