Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Java Full Stack Developer for a 12+ month W2 contract engagement based in Mountain View, CA. This is a fast-moving, hands-on role requiring 70–85% active software development across all SDLC phases. You will contribute to building AI-first and generative AI-first product experiences within a large-scale SaaS environment. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and React, has worked with distributed systems, and thrives in an Agile, DevOps-driven team. Visa sponsorship (H1B & GC) available after joining.

Key Responsibilities

  • 70–85% hands-on software development across all SDLC phases
  • Conduct design and code reviews and create technical documentation
  • Contribute to the DevOps model
  • Develop AI-first and generative AI-first product experiences
  • Estimate and sequence development activities
  • Analyze inputs to create software and services
  • Identify technical dependencies
  • Collaborate with engineers and architects

Requirements

  • 9+ years of overall software development experience
  • 7+ years of experience in large-scale SaaS systems
  • Advanced experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, GitHub, JUnit 4/5
  • Hands-on experience with React (frontend) and backend development
  • Experience with unit, integration, functional, and E2E test automation
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies (Scrum)
  • Hands-on experience with AWS and/or Heroku
  • Experience with large-scale distributed systems
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and the full SDLC
  • Experience with debugging and monitoring tools such as Splunk and Wavefront
  • Strong communication skills and a 'Get Stuff Done' attitude
  • Ruby on Rails experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Applied AI / Generative AI is a plus
  • Must be local to California
