Job Description
Purpose
As the Hotel Accountant, you will be an essential member of the Accor Shared Services team, playing a key role in review, reconciliation, reporting and support for a cluster of properties within the Accor Apartments & Realty portfolio.
This position is ideal for a competent Accountant or Assistant Accountant that is seeking to work in an exciting and dynamic environment whilst advancing their career.
The salary for this role ranges from $75,000 to $80,000 plus superannuation, depending on skills and experience.
Primary Responsibilities
End of month preparation, review & reporting
Monthly/Annual - Financial report collation & distribution
Balance sheet preparation & maintenances
Monthly FBT data review, distribution, communication and full year report preparation
Monthly tax preparation and payments
Bank reconciliations
Assist in monthly forecasting preparation
Assist with internal audit control reviews
AR credit meeting attendance/ aged debt maintenance
Assist in annual budgeting process
Support Area Finance & Property teams in daily/annual requirements when required
Skills and Experience
A minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting and/or Finance or Commerce
CA or CPA qualifications is a plus
Proven track record and strong understanding of management accounting
Strong attention to detail, accuracy and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills across a wide-range of stakeholders
Ability to work under pressure within tight time frames
A can do attitude
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and report on end-of-month financial data
- Collate and distribute monthly and annual financial reports
- Maintain balance sheets and perform monthly bank reconciliations
- Review and distribute FBT data and prepare full-year reports
- Prepare and process monthly tax payments
- Assist in monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes
- Support internal audit control reviews
- Manage accounts receivable aging and credit meetings
- Support Area Finance and Property teams with daily and annual requirements
