Overview:
As HR Generalist you will work within our HR team supporting Jenbacher Operations at our Waukesha facility/site. The HR Generalist is responsible for supporting a wide range of human resources functions for assigned business group(s). Key responsibilities include managing employee relations, supporting performance management processes, coordinating onboarding and offboarding activities, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and internal policies. This role also involves maintaining accurate personnel records, supporting immigration and audit-related matters, and assisting with payroll processing and HR special projects. The HR Generalist also contributes to policy development, labor law compliance, and the maintenance of HR systems and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage employee relations for assigned business group.
- Answer frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
- Partner with managers in the performance review processes.
- Support the onboarding process for assigned business group to ensure a smooth and effective transition for new hires.
- Assist in responding to audits, employment verifications, surveys, etc.
- Support the offboarding process for assigned business group.
- Support immigration/compliance matters.
- Oversee employee personnel files, perform periodic audits of files and records to ensure all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Manage labor law poster program, including vendor management and posting compliance.
- Assist in developing and updating HR policies and procedures.
- Support payroll processing as needed.
- Provide back-up support to team members as needed.
- Assist with HR special projects.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field with 5+ years of HR experience or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Demonstrated experience with HRIS systems (Workday, Jobvite, ADP preferred).
- Process improvement & project management experience.
- Prior experience in a global matrix structure a plus.
- Ability to work independently on assignments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication ability.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to follow up on matters quickly.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
