We're looking for an HR Generalist to join our People team and own the operational and compliance side of HR. You'll report directly to the CFO. Ludus is a SaaS company that builds digital tools trusted by thousands of organizations of all sizes to power their event ticketing, marketing, fundraising, retail and registration needs. If you’re a self-starter and can thrive in controlled chaos, Ludus is the place for you — it’s time to find your role ⬇️ ## What you'll be doing Benefits & Compensation - Administer health, dental, vision, 401(k), and other benefit programs day-to-day - Lead open enrollment and serve as the go-to for employee benefits questions and issues - Support annual compensation review cycles and maintain salary benchmarking data HR Compliance & Administration - Maintain and audit I-9 documentation for all employees; ensure timely completion and re-verification as required - Manage E-Verify submissions and maintain compliance with federal employment eligibility requirements - Ensure compliance with state and federal leave laws - Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS and ensure ongoing data integrity - Keep HR policies current and communicate updates across the organization - Coordinate with finance on payroll processing and support year-end compliance (W-2s, 401k audit) People Operations & Analytics - Track and report on key HR metrics — headcount, turnover, tenure, time-to-hire - Assist with special projects: process improvements, policy updates, and compliance audits ## Traits we're looking for (In no certain order) - Someone who takes ownership — you notice what needs doing and do it without being asked - Calm and steady when navigating compliance complexity or sensitive situations - Highly organized, with strong follow-through across multiple moving pieces - A clear communicator who can simplify complexity for employees and managers alike - Comfortable working in ambiguity at a growing company where things are still being built You'll Need - 3–5 years of HR generalist experience, ideally in a tech or SaaS environment - Working knowledge of employment law and multi-state compliance - Hands-on experience with I-9/E-Verify administration - Experience with OPT / CPT work authorizations - Experience with an HRIS platform (Gusto, ADP, Rippling or similar) - Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities without dropping the ball - Discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information BONUS Qualifications: - PHR or SHRM-CP certification - Experience supporting a company through a growth phase (50–150 employees) PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES: - You genuinely care about people — not just processes - You hold confidentiality as a non-negotiable - You're a collaborator who builds trust with employees and managers at every level - You're energized by building things, not just maintaining them ## Perks 💪 Health Insurance (Medical, Vision, Dental) — Provided by Blue Cross Blue Shield and Guardian.
