Your Role at Cabot: Cabot has an exciting opportunity for an experienced HR professional to join our Shanghai Holding Office, the headquarters for Cabot China and Asia Pacific. In this role, you will partner with business and functional leaders across R&D, Commercial, Global Business Services (GBS) and corporate functions to translate business needs into practical people and organization solutions. If so, this role could be a strong next step in your HR career. How You’ll Make an Impact: You will play a key role in implementing Cabot’s HR strategy for the Shanghai Holding Office. Working closely with business and functional leaders, you will help identify, attract, develop and retain the talent needed to deliver current priorities and future growth. The role combines strategic HR business partnering with hands-on site HR leadership, offering broad exposure across organization effectiveness, talent management, employee relations, culture, workforce analytics and HR operations. Strategic HR Business Partnership - Act as a trusted HR partner to leaders across GBS, ATC, CST Commercial and functional departments, translating business priorities into focused HR actions. - Understand business challenges, workforce needs and organization opportunities, and provide practical HR solutions that support growth, capability building and business delivery. - Partner with leaders on organization diagnosis, structure optimization, team effectiveness and leadership capability to strengthen overall business performance. - Use workforce data, HR insights and employee feedback to support better talent and organization decisions. - Coordinate with regional and global HR teams to ensure consistent implementation of HR programs, policies and standards across supported groups. Site HR Leadership & Employee Experience - Lead full-cycle site HR activities for the Shanghai Holding Office, including hiring support, onboarding, employee development, performance management, rewards, engagement and employee relations. - Strengthen employee experience and engagement by promoting Cabot values, supporting manager effectiveness and enabling an inclusive, collaborative workplace culture. - Ensure high-quality execution of HR policies, processes and compliance requirements, including SOX audit, RC audit, ISO and other internal or external control standards. - Improve HR operational efficiency through effective use of Workday, Kayang and other HR systems, while continuously identifying opportunities to simplify and improve ways of working. - Maintain effective communication with relevant local government authorities and support employee benefit-related matters, site HR projects and operational priorities as needed. What Success Looks Like - Build trusted partnerships with key business and functional leaders in the Shanghai Holding Office. - Deliver core HR priorities with quality, consistency and strong business alignment. - Contribute to organization and talent solutions that improve team effectiveness and support business growth. - Strengthen employee engagement, manager capability and the overall employee experience. - Use data and HR systems to improve decision-making, execution discipline and operational efficiency. What You’ll Bring to Cabot: - Bachelor’s degree or above; an advanced degree or HR-related certification is preferred. - Minimum seven years of progressive HR experience, including HR business partnering or HR generalist experience in a multinational, matrix or complex business environment. - Solid understanding of China HR practices, employee relations and core employment compliance requirements. - Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust, influence leaders and work effectively across different functions and leadership styles. - Experience supporting talent management, performance management, learning and development, employee engagement, rewards processes and organization effectiveness initiatives. - Ability to coach managers and employees, provide sound HR guidance and support constructive resolution of people and team issues. - Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use relevant facts, data and business context to make balanced recommendations. - Customer-focused, responsive and committed to delivering high-quality HR service with ownership and professionalism. - Effective communication skills in both Chinese and English, with the confidence to engage employees and leaders at different levels of the organization. - Experience with Workday, Kayang or other HR systems is preferred.
