Role description:
Information, Communications and Technology (ICT) Engineer is in charge of creating, designing and introducing the overall technical visions for an ICT solution to all identified business problem or building operations objectives. They are responsible for evaluating client's business needs and future technological goals in order to determine how ICT infrastructure can support those needs leveraging software and hardware components of it. They shall support the ICT technical requirements of the project.
Role accountabilities:
- Collaborate with clients and translate technology and functional objectives and requirements into ICT solutions.
- Prepare and document technology and functional objectives and requirements that can help client on their decision making.
- Providing overall directions on the technical specifications according to which the solution is defined, managed, and delivered.
- Analyse the technology environment, enterprise specifics, and documenting requirements.
- Translate business and functional objectives and requirements into ICT solutions.
- Prepare and document technology requirements and component specifications.
- Identify gaps, limitations, and areas for process improvements.
- Design and develop technical solutions based on existing technologies.
- Evaluate the best technology solution among all possible to solve the existing operational problems.
- Specify the structure, characteristics, behaviour, and other aspects of technology components of the proposed solution – software & hardware - to project stakeholders.
- Defining features, phases, and solution requirements.
- Participate in the collaboration framework for technology and vendor selection.
- Review and do quality check of all technical submissions and endorse to the project manager and other project stake holders for comments prior final submission.
- Work with the management and form a strategy across the organization to meet ICT goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Graduate of Bachelor of Science Electronics and Communications Engineer or bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering, or any equivalent.
- Licensed Electronics and Communications Engineer is an advantage.
- Cisco, BICSI or any industry standard certifications is an advantage.
- BIM knowledge is desirable particularly using Revit and ACC.
- 2 to 5 years of relevant post-graduate experience and technical background in one or more ICT areas including but not limited to:
- Engineering and software architecture design
- Converged network, IT architecture, infrastructure, and cloud development
- Building Management System
- Security, CCTV and Access Control Systems
- Structured cabling systems
- Data and Telecommunication systems
- IT Project and product management
- Data Centers
- Deep analytical skills and understanding on how different engineering services work together.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain reports and knowledge of all types of reporting formats like charts, tabular, matrix, and others
- Knowledgeable in technical reporting, dashboard UI/UX, and technical analysis.
- Organizational skills and proactive approach in project management.
- Actively continue to develop personally and technical knowledge and new emerging technology through regular CPD training.

- Must have interest in qualitative data interpretation and analysis
- A pragmatic approach to problem-solving by optimally using tools and technologies
- Proactive and multitasker; ability to easily switch between multiple tasks
