Job Description

Under the direction of the IT Applications Director, the Full Stack Software Developer is responsible for designing, developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise applications and reporting solutions. This role works closely with business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional IT teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions using .NET Core, React JS, SQL Server, Oracle, Power BI, and cloud-based platforms. The developer performs advanced analysis, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance activities and is expected to work with a high level of independence and technical judgment. Development activities are performed in an Agile environment, supporting enterprise and cross-agency initiatives. Candidates must reside within 50 miles of Austin, TX. Visa types accepted: H1B, H4EAD, GC EAD, and USC.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise applications using .NET Core/C# backend services and APIs
  • Build frontend interfaces using React JS and modern JavaScript frameworks
  • Develop and maintain SQL Server databases including stored procedures, views, functions, and performance tuning
  • Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, and paginated reports for business and operational reporting
  • Implement cloud-based solutions and integrations using Azure, including deployment, configuration, and monitoring
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve application and production issues across the full technology stack
  • Create and maintain accurate technical documentation, including design specifications and operational guides
  • Convert legacy applications to web-based solutions
  • Transform and migrate legacy Oracle data to support new solutions

Requirements

  • 12+ years of Full Stack Development using .NET Core, C#, React JS, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
  • 12+ years of Oracle Data Migration (Mandatory)
  • Strong SQL Server development, data modeling, and performance tuning
  • Extensive experience with Power BI (Dashboards, Reports, Data Transformation)
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure (App Services, Storage, Security)
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications into web-based solutions
  • Experience with Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of Section 508 Accessibility Standards
  • Texas State Government or Public Sector experience preferred
  • Agile/Scrum experience preferred
