Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and creative Web Developer Intern to join our team remotely. This internship is ideal for someone who has a strong interest in website development and wants hands-on experience working with WordPress, Shopify, and Wix websites. You will work alongside our marketing and design teams to build, customize, maintain, and optimize websites for various clients across different industries. This is a 4-month paid internship with potential for a full-time opportunity based on performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain websites using WordPress, Shopify, and Wix
  • Customize themes and templates according to project requirements
  • Build responsive websites that perform well on desktop, tablet, and mobile devices
  • Install and configure plugins, apps, and third-party integrations
  • Update website content, images, and products
  • Optimize websites for speed, SEO, and user experience
  • Troubleshoot website issues and fix bugs
  • Perform website testing before deployment
  • Work closely with designers and marketing teams to implement new features
  • Maintain website security and backups where required

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Familiarity with WordPress, Shopify, and Wix
  • Experience with page builders such as Elementor, Betheme, Divi, Shopify Theme Editor, or Wix Editor
  • Understanding of responsive web design
  • Knowledge of website hosting, domain management, and DNS basics
  • Basic understanding of SEO best practices
  • Familiarity with Git or version control is a plus
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, IT, or Web Development
  • Portfolio or personal projects demonstrating website development experience is a plus
