If you like what we do, see our offer — maybe it is you we will have the pleasure to meet! :) ### About the Project You will work on a complete node-to-cloud architecture, designing cloud-native services and scalable communication patterns that connect embedded devices, cloud platforms, and management applications. A key part of the project involves building secure device identity and provisioning mechanisms based on X.509 certificates, TLS/mTLS, and modern authentication frameworks. Working closely with embedded engineers, you will help develop a new Network Management System (NMS) responsible for device registration, heartbeat monitoring, telemetry ingestion, configuration deployment, device state management, and command execution. The platform leverages MQTT, REST APIs, and event-driven architectures to support reliable device communication, configuration versioning, rollback mechanisms, and secure OTA update workflows. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of Cloud Engineering, IoT, Security, Networking, and Distributed Systems, while helping shape a scalable platform from the ground up. ### You might be the perfect match if you are/have: - Strong backend engineering experience with distributed systems, APIs, databases, and production services. - Experience with IoT, connected devices, network management systems, fleet management, or infrastructure platforms. - Hands-on experience with MQTT or similar messaging protocols. - Solid understanding of X.509 certificates, TLS/mTLS, secure provisioning, authentication, and authorization. - Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: IP, TCP/UDP, DNS, DHCP, NAT, routing, firewalls, and troubleshooting. - Experience designing device state models, command queues, telemetry pipelines, configuration management, and safe rollout/rollback mechanisms. - Comfortable with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Experience with PostgreSQL or similar relational databases. - Comfortable with containers, CI/CD, monitoring, logging, and incident-oriented production operations. - Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across embedded, hardware, product, and business teams. - Located in Czechia, Slovakia or Hungary - Fluency in English (spoken and written) ### Nice to have: - Languages: TypeScript, Go, Python, Rust, Java, Scala or similar backend languages. - Protocols: MQTT, REST, WebSockets, TLS/mTLS, X.509. - Databases: PostgreSQL, MongoDB, TimescaleDB, Redis, or similar. - Cloud such as: AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker. - Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, ELK, or similar. - Version Control: Git / GitHub. - CI/CD: GitHub Actions. ### Assignment Details - Start date: ASAP - Workload: full-time - Location: Czechia, Slovakia or Hungary (remote within these countries only – candidates outside of these locations will not be considered) - B2B contract - Slary:6.00-6.700 Kč/MD (270-350 Euros/MD) - Client: Swedish networking and Wi-Fi solutions start-up ### Recruitment process - Screening Call A 30‑minute introductory Teams video call with our recruiter, Nikola Otáhalová - Technical Interview A 60‑minute Teams video call with one of our software developers, focused on technical questions related to the required tech stack - Final Interview with the Client A 60‑minute Teams video call with the client Submit your application online in one easy step!
