That's where you come in! ## Job Description You'll work on **Clear's global e-invoicing platform**—a suite of Java/Spring Boot services that generate, validate, route, and exchange tax-compliant invoices across multiple countries, including India, Saudi Arabia, Malaysia, Belgium, UAE, and the expanding EU/Peppol ecosystem. The backend handles government-format mapping, network routing to tax-authority APIs, and Peppol four-corner document exchange. It is an event-driven, workflow-orchestrated platform built as Maven multi-module services. This is an **individual contributor role** for an experienced backend engineer who can quickly understand an existing codebase and contribute independently. You'll own well-scoped features, resolve production issues, and deliver high-quality solutions while collaborating with senior engineers on larger technical initiatives. What You'll Do - Build and deliver backend features within existing Java/Spring Boot services. - Understand and navigate a large, existing enterprise codebase. - Diagnose and resolve production issues. - Develop and maintain REST APIs. - Implement unit and integration tests to ensure code quality. - Work across Maven multi-module services following established engineering patterns. - Participate in code reviews and maintain high-quality Git/PR practices. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams in a distributed agile environment. - Contribute to continuous improvements in code quality, maintainability, and performance. ## Qualifications - 1–2 years of professional backend development experience using Java. - Hands-on experience with **Java 17**. - Experience building applications with **Spring Boot**. - Understanding of RESTful API development. - Experience working with **MongoDB** or another relational/NoSQL database. - Familiarity with **Maven** and **Git**. - Basic experience writing automated tests using JUnit or Mockito. - Ability to understand and work within an existing codebase. - Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a remote, international team. ## Additional Information - 30 days of paid vacation, internal and external training opportunities, MyN – Nagarro Employee Share Program, attractive company bicycle arrangements, modern office space at central locations with high-tech equipment, sports programs, access to the corporate benefits portal, free fruit and drinks. - Plenty of room for innovation in a high-growth environment with the latest technologies and products.
