Job Description

Java Developer contract role focusing on backend engineering for distributed, cloud-native systems. Strong emphasis on microservices, REST API design, Kubernetes, and messaging with Kafka/RabbitMQ. Production experience with Spring Boot required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain backend services in Java using Spring Boot
  • Design and implement RESTful APIs and consider GraphQL if applicable
  • Work with microservices architecture and cloud-native patterns
  • Set up and manage messaging with Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Collaborate with DevOps for Kubernetes-based deployments
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure production-readiness

Requirements

  • 10+ years of backend engineering experience
  • Strong Java programming skills with production experience
  • Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and REST APIs
  • Experience with Kubernetes
  • Experience with Kafka or RabbitMQ
  • Knowledge of microservices architecture and API design
