## Job Summary The Junior Backend Developer will support the design, development, testing, and maintenance of scalable, secure, and high-performing backend systems that power Grazac Technologies Ltd.'s digital products and services. Working closely with senior developers, frontend engineers, product managers, and other cross-functional team members, the Junior Backend Developer will contribute to the delivery of reliable software solutions while building technical expertise in backend development, API integration, databases, and software engineering best practices. This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates and early-career professionals with 0–2 years of relevant experience who are passionate about backend development and eager to grow in a collaborative, fast-paced technology environment. ## Key Responsibilities - Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend applications, services, and APIs. - Write clean, efficient, maintainable, and well-documented code that adheres to established coding standards and best practices. - Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing components with server-side logic and ensure seamless application functionality. - Support the integration of third-party APIs, external services, and internal systems as required. - Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve application issues while working closely with senior developers to implement effective solutions. - Participate in code reviews and apply feedback to improve code quality, performance, and maintainability. - Develop and maintain technical documentation for backend features, APIs, and system processes. - Write and maintain unit, integration, and other automated tests to improve application reliability and performance. - Support database design, optimization, data management, and maintenance activities to ensure efficient application performance. - Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and team reviews. - Contribute to the development of reusable backend components, services, and utilities that promote scalability and code reusability. - Stay up to date with emerging backend technologies, frameworks, and industry best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team. - Perform other software development and technical support duties as assigned.
