Job Description

We’re looking for a creative, commercially minded all-rounder to join the Jaeger team as a Junior Designer on a 12-month maternity cover. This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a design team creating modern, elevated collections for an iconic British brand, supporting across research, CAD, colour, fabric, print and product development. You’ll bring fresh ideas, strong attention to detail and a passion for beautifully considered design, working collaboratively with Design, Buying and Technical teams to help deliver ranges that feel relevant, refined and true to Jaeger’s distinctive handwriting. What you’ll do Your key accountabilities will include - Support the Designer/Senior Designer to deliver a commercially focused, contemporary and relevant product range for Jaeger. - Assist with research, design development and preparation of seasonal boards, colour palettes, fabric direction and key product details. - Work closely with the wider design, buying and technical teams to support the delivery of the range from concept through to sign-off. - Contribute ideas and inspiration that reflect the Jaeger brand handwriting, customer profile and seasonal trend direction. - Prepare and maintain accurate design packs, sketches, artwork and product information to support effective communication with suppliers and internal teams. Who you are Your skills and experience will include - Expert in the field of design with design experience within the Premium market, Retail or manufacturing industry - Raise the bar to the next levlel on product modernity, design and development, execution, refinement, fits, detail and finish, with engagement with SO and key suppliers - Drive fabric research and attend fairs to source new and interesting qualities within the pricing architecture.
